Audrey Ray Brings Her Country Sound to the Nashville Area June 26 at Whiskey Room Live
Michigan-based independent country artist returns to Nashville during an exciting creative chapter as she records new music and performs in Franklin, Tennessee
DETROIT, MI, UNITED STATES, June 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ --
Michigan-based country music artist Audrey Ray will bring her original country sound to the Nashville area for an Artist Showcase at Whiskey Room Live on Friday, June 26, 2026.
This is an especially exciting time for Ray, who is back in Nashville recording new music while continuing to build momentum as an independent country artist. The June 26 showcase comes during a major creative chapter for Ray as she returns to Music Row to record three new songs and share her music with country fans in Tennessee.
One of the most memorable moments in Audrey Ray’s career was recording with Kent Wells, Dolly Parton’s longtime producer. This June marks her third trip back to Nashville to record with him, where she will be working on three new songs. For Audrey, the experience of being in a Music Row studio is difficult to put into words, especially because she has had the opportunity to record with some of the best studio musicians in business, including ACM and CMA nominees.
Known for blending classic country twang with today’s country style, Ray is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who has performed more than 2,000 shows and shared stages with national touring artists including Clint Black, Uncle Kracker, Jon Pardi and Kelsea Ballerini.
“Tennessee has always been part of my story,” said Audrey Ray. “From visiting family near Nashville when I was young to now recording music here, it feels full circle. I’m excited to be back in Nashville, recording new songs with Kent Wells and performing at Whiskey Room Live. It’s a special moment in my career, and I can’t wait to share it with country music fans.”
Ray’s Tennessee roots run deep. Although based in Michigan, her family has ties to Tennessee, and visits to the Nashville area helped shape her love for country music. Her return to Nashville to record and perform marks another important step in her journey as a fiercely independent artist.
Ray recently released her first vinyl record, Cigarettes and Ashes, pressed at Third Man Records in Detroit. She has also performed at major festivals and venues including Faster Horses, WYCD’s Downtown Hoedown, The Ark in Ann Arbor, and opened for country acts at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre.
