South Korea’s Ex-PM Faces Possible Arrest Over Martial Law Case
Following the session, prosecutors are expected to determine whether to seek an arrest warrant for Han, according to media.
Han endured a grueling 16-hour interrogation on Tuesday.
He is suspected of either directly participating in or aiding Yoon’s martial law declaration. The special counsel also charges Han with complicity in both drafting and destroying a revised martial law decree.
In February testimony before the National Assembly, Han claimed he only became aware of the decree after a Cabinet meeting lifted martial law on Dec. 4 and said he only later noticed a copy of the decree in his pocket.
Yet prosecutors reportedly secured surveillance footage from the presidential office showing Han reviewing martial law documents.
On Tuesday, Han admitted to investigators that Yoon personally gave him the document.
